The next sentence from my doctor was…’now we go to the drawing board and start brainstorming shortening the left OR lengthening the right.’ Surgery #11 is now a possibility.
Both options are with an invasive surgery. Both options will require me to be non weight bearing for awhile. Both options will require metal to be moved since he has to slice the bone horizontally and I have metal rods running through both vertically. BUT- the metal rods arent necessary anymore so getting them removed during this time COULD be an option!
My doctor ordered a scannogram so we can compare both my right and left femurs side by side and get an exact measurement.
For now we are NOT making ANY decisions until we have more data. The issue is the lift in my shoe. It’s on my lower right side- the length is off in my femurs-ABOVE the knee- not below it. So the bend in my knees is off and the length issue is coming from my pelvis and effects my gate pattern which is causing my lower back and left hip pain.
