Brittany Cass is featured in this news piece from KHON.

Although Hawaiʻi’s SB 2463 stalled this legislative session, Bold Like Britt remains committed to advocating for impaired driving prevention and safer roads.

Advocacy isn’t measured by a single vote or one legislative session. It’s measured by the conversations we start, the awareness we raise, and the lives we have the opportunity to protect.

While Hawaiʻi’s Senate Bill 2463 — which would have lowered the state’s legal blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit from .08 to .05 — has stalled during this legislative session, the work to prevent impaired driving is far from over. The bill advanced through several stages of the legislative process before ultimately failing to move forward this year.

At Bold Like Britt, we believe prevention begins long before someone gets behind the wheel. Every opportunity to educate, advocate, and share our story helps move this conversation forward.

Throughout this legislative session, I had the privilege of testifying before lawmakers, meeting with legislators, and joining advocates across Hawaiʻi who are committed to creating safer roads for everyone. While this chapter may be closing for now, the mission remains unchanged.

Real change often takes time.

Every conversation matters.

Every story matters.

Every voice matters.

We’ll continue advocating for evidence-based solutions, supporting organizations like Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and sharing the message that one choice truly can change everything.

Because prevention is always worth fighting for.
